![]() This past Saturday people met to plan camp both at the Diocesan office and in their own living rooms. The idea of an online began because we had students who didn't have cars on campus but who wanted to attend the meeting. As the weather predictions got worse and people's own schedules got more busy, more and more people opted to stay home and meet virtually. We met via Google Hangouts, a free resource available to anyone with a gmail account, and our Google+ page (go to Google + and search for "Episcopal Youth Camp"). There are still a few things that we need to work with (better wireless connections and sound from the people meeting at the office), but it was a great alternative to people who otherwise wouldn't have been able to attend. So what did we talk about at the meeting? Staff training and leadership, the daily schedule, formation and the Old Testament and recruiting new campers were all part of the agenda. Click here to download the agenda and the meeting minutes. The next meetings will be done by teams. Everyone is invited and the dates will be announced. Thank you for your prayers and support of camp! Take care and God bless, Gennie

![]() If you are available, and interested in helping plan camp, please put this on your calendar Saturday, January 11 10:00am Kalamazoo Click here to e-mail Gennie to receive directions and other information about the meeting. The theme for 2014 will be "Tell Me a Story" and we'll be looking at the stories in the Old Testament.
At this meeting we'll be looking at which stories, who wants to help with formation, and what kind of activities we want to plan. Young people are invited, but they will be put to work alongside the adults! Oh - if there's bad weather, you don't need to try to travel. We can Skype, Conference Call or Google Hangout you in. |
