Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Weekend Camp?
  • Also known as "Family Camp," this is a weekend event open to all in our Diocese (minors must be accompanied by an adult family member).
  • Check in is at 5:00 pm on Friday. We will be done around noon on Sunday.
What is the cost?
  • $60 per person
  • We do have financial assistance available, so please do not let finances get in the way of attending camp.
  • Children under 5 may attend free of cost (or at a reduced rate, if you prefer)
Do I have to attend the entire event?
  • This camp event is a weekend long, but you can attend for any length. Please note on your registration form, so we can account for food.
Where will we sleep?
  • We will primarily be sleeping in cabin, arranged by families or single gender for friends. Each cabin has beds for 11. The bath house and toilets are a short walk from the cabins.
  • Bring your Tent or  RV/Camper. Even though there isn't a place to hookup your RV for power, you can still enjoy your own bed!
I'm a single person, where do I sleep?
  • Single people are invited to attend!
  • Sleeping arrangements are by family, so if you aren't bringing your own camper or tent, you will most likely be housed with other singles of your gender. If you'd like to be housed with your friends, please note that on the registration form and we will try our best to room you all together.

What are the Activities
  • The waterfront will be open for swimming most of Saturday and Sunday morning. We will also offer a ropes course.
  • We will have some time for games and crafts, along with wonderful trails and place to relax with friends.
  • You don’t have to do the activities. While there are many activities to choose from, you may prefer to sit around and hang out with friends, both new and old. There are plenty of places and opportunities to do this.

What are the rules?
  • When we gather, we'll do so to form a new community. We'll all be coming from different places, with different ways of doing things. Because of that, we'll need to agree to rules and behaviors that we'll all adhere to and help others to adhere to.
  • Non-negotiable rules
The following rules must be followed to belong to this community
No smoking on the property (if you must smoke, we will tell you where off campus you can do so)
No alcohol (regardless of age, this is a site requirement and one we agree with)
No use of illegal drugs or miss-use of legal drugs
No adult will be alone with a child or group of children, unless they are your own
No sexually inappropriate behavior, exploitation or abuse (verbal or physical)
  • The following is the beginning of our covenant of behavior (how we will treat one another). This will be further expanded as we get closer to the time.
We will use language to lift people up, not put them down.
We will care for and watch out for each other and each other's children.
